They warned us several years ago. In case you’re wondering who “they” are, we’re referring to Universal Studios and the creators of the Fast and the Furious franchise. After the [awful] second film of 2003, they claimed that as long as the Fast films continued to earn money, they would keep producing them. They weren’t lying.
Set for a May 24, 2013 release date, Fast 6 comes to theaters with the same cast of the last few installments. Except for the “Vince” character because he died in the last movie, obviously. But then again, with the rumored return of Michelle Rodriguez’s character, “Letty,” we suppose anything’s possible.
Although any official vehicle list or plot specifics are still up in the air, we do now have an idea of what we will be seeing thanks to this clip on Vimeo. We get a glimpse of an apparent Vin Diesel stunt double wheeling a ’69 Dodge Charger Daytona (clone, probably) with a ’69 Mustang, and more strangely, a tank in tow. According to the video author, this was shot in Tenerife, Spain.
The Dodge Charger as used by Vin Diesel's stunt double.
According to the description that’s in Spanish, roughly translated, this is a scene from the film that shows a group of cars being pursued by a tank, the tank fires, and hits a bridge overpass that was to stop the Dodge. Of course with Vin Diesel behind the wheel, it doesn’t.
There’s little else in the way of information within this clip or the attached description, but the scene more or less speaks for itself: Fast and the Furious is back again with more musclecars. What cars will they bring us this time?
