BBK is a name that has long been around for quite some time. Typically associated with late model Mustangs dating back to the ’80s Fox Bodies to today’s Coyote-powered S197s, BBK has had the Blue Oval crowd covered for years.
Now they’re expanding their market to the firth-generation Camaro, and in a big way. They’ve dabbled in the GM foray in the past with the fourth-generation cars, but the incredible popularity of the 2010+ is too hard to ignore.
We’re continuing our efforts into providing the Camaro customer with what they need. -Ken Murphy
We caught up with Ken Murphy at the 2012 SEMA show, and he walked us around several of their latest parts – all for the Chevy pony car. The first was their LS3 induction components, which included their 95mm throttle body and cold-air induction kit.
The throttle body is available in two specs, 95mm and 102mm, and the cold air induction kit can be had in either chrome or black powder coat. These two components are sold separately, but compliment each other quite well in terms of increased power performance, and intake sound.
Not only do they market the incredible intake components, but they have the exhaust side of things covered too. Ken walked us over to the Vari-Tune adjustable mufflers. They’re perfect for the enthusiast who wants to adjust the sound and performance of his Camaro to suit their liking. You can leave them both wide open, or adjust them to quell any potential drone one may experience from the free-flowing exhaust.
Ken told us, “We’re continuing our efforts into providing the Camaro customer with what they need.” He went on to say, that while they pretty much of the bolt-on are covered, that they’re looking into developing suspension components for the fifth-generation Camaro next.
