Vortech Engineering has announced that their supercharger systems for 5.7 and 6.1-liter Chrysler HEMI engines are now 50-state emissions legal.
All Vortech systems for SRT8 (6.1-liter) vehicles are based on the self lubricated V-3 supercharger, which uses an internal lubrication reservoir with connection between the engine oil pan and the compressor. A remote fluid drain hose allows for lubricant changes without removing the supercharger from the vehicle.
In addition, the integrated dual-pass air/water charge cooler features closed-loop cooling using a stand-alone pump, reservoir and front-mounted heat exchanger. The provided fuel system upgrades include high-flow injectors, 2 bar MAP (manifold absolute pressure) sensor, fuel pump voltage booster assembly and DiabloSport Predator hand-held programmer, to control ignition timing and fuel enrichment functions.
The Vortech products are a complete bolt-on system including all necessary brackets, belts, pulleys and a reusable high-flow air filter. The CARB Executive Order covers 2005-2010 5.7L V8 Passenger car (except 2009-2010 LEV2 ULEV engines), 2005-2010 6.1L V8 Passenger car, 2003-2010 5.7L Light truck and 2006-2010 6.1L V8 SUV systems.
