Funding a vehicle has been a goal somewhere in our lives for the vast majority of us. Whether it was that awful boat of a first car that mom and dad picked out for you and had you pay for, or that sweet muscle car you dreamed about for ages before you could finally afford its purchase, funding a vehicle purchase is a big deal. But in a day and age when technology seems to be making everything a little less complicated and a bit easier, there is a new way to start funding your next car purchase, mainly the purchase of a new Dodge Dart. You’ve heard of car registries before, but chances are this new registry from Dodge is nothing like you’ve ever seen before.
When the modern Dodge Dart came out, many people were skeptical. Would it live up to its name? Would it last for more than just a couple model years? But the question on potential Dart buyers’ minds was not always how long the car would stick around. Mostly, potential buyers were trying to figure out how they could get the most out of their money with the new car, and ultimately, how they were going to get their hands on the dough for their purchase.
Luckily, those who are well-connected don’t have to worry much about that anymore, thanks to the Dodge Dart Registry. While most car registries keep track of the remaining cars of a rare breed, the new Dart Registry allows you to digitally build your perfect car and then ask friends and family to log on and sponsor individual parts of the vehicle.
It works like this: by clicking on the “Create Your Registry” button on the Dart website, you’re taken to a personal online design studio of sorts. Here, you can choose which color you’d like your Dart to be, what engine and transmission you want your car to have, customized exterior options like wheel designs and grill color, and finally what safety and interior options you’d like.
While you choose your Dart’s components, you’ll be able to see just what the car will look like on your screen.
From there you move onto Registry Details. This is where you name your registry profile, upload a picture of yourself (optional), summarize why you want a Dart, and how much you’d like to raise for your car. Once you finish that, you move onto personal contact information before being able to preview your registry and submit it.
After it’s submitted, you can promote your registry to family, friends and even strangers to help you fund certain components for the car. Once you’ve raised a good portion, or the total purchase price, you can then order your Dart and pick it up at your local dealership. Who can argue with that?
