The Shelby bash to end all Shelby bashes has just been announced.  Team Shelby Northeast and Shelby American have teamed up with Carlisle Events and Summit Point Motorsports Park to host the “1st Inaugural Team Shelby Grand Nationals“. Scheduled for June 5-9, 2013, the Grand Nationals has a number of events designed to get the Shelby owner off the couch and out to celebrate all things Shelby. Two days of track time at Summit Points Motorsports Park starts off the show, with instruction by Summit Point’s staff of driving instructors. The Summit Point staff will provide skidpad course instruction along with road-course instruction in participant’s very own car. The event welcomes all Shelby-inspired vehicles, not just Mustangs. That means BOSS Mustangs, Ford GT’s, Vipers, and Shelby Dodge vehicles, are all welcome to make the trip out for some on-course fun.

After the Summit Point segment of the event is complete, a pre-Poker Run party takes place in Winchester, Virginia before the Poker Run from Winchester all the way to Carlisle. Once everyone arrives at Carlisle, there will be a car show complete with awards and the private, limited-ticket “Cars Are The Stars” Team Shelby celebration party at the Carlisle Expo Center on Friday night. On Saturday, the Carlisle All Ford Nationals begin, and Team Shelby will be front-and-center in a premium location. Ticketed Team Shelby owners will be able to enjoy a barbecue lunch, and Saturday night the Ford Parade and Street Party takes place in downtown Carlisle – the streets are closed off for a celebration of all things Ford.
