What does Mopar mean to you? To the enthusiast, it’s any vehicle made by Chrysler. To the purist, it’s any aftermarket product for Chryslers by Chrysler. According to ‘Ma Mopar, “For more than 70 years, vehicle owners, engine tuners, professional racers and performance buffs have all helped shape what Mopar stands for today: The exclusive source for authentic original equipment parts and accessories for the millions of Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, and Ram vehicles.”
The House of Mopar has been shaken up with the marriage of Chrysler and Fiat, but good things are in store judging by this Mopar Captured promotional video. Here’s a summary of what Mopar fans can look forward to with their post-purchase experience:
Mopar Express Lane
Along with the recession and the decline of car sales comes the decline in service revenue. To counter this, Chrysler Group LLC created Express Lane quick-service to offer customers light maintenance service (such as changing wipers, tires, and oil) instead of going to the corner lube place. Over the past year, there’s been a stronger marketing push for this service because it reinforces the customer experience and engenders better customer satisfaction. While previous methods would take an hour or longer, the current time is in and out is 20 minutes. The goal is to have 80% of Chrysler’s 2,352 dealers offering Express Lane.
Chrysler Service Contracts
When you buy a new car, you get a limited warranty. What happens when it expires? Or what if you buy a used car? Wouldn’t it be nice to have your Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, or Ram (or even Brand X!) complemented by enhanced coverage? That’s where Chrysler Service Contracts comes in. Unbeknownst to the average guy and gal, there’s a whole industry of offering coverage for your car, but none of them offer the security of Chrysler standing behind its Service Contracts with certified, factory-trained technicians. When you have a third-party warranty and you learn that they aren’t backing your vehicle, it’ll be a lesson to remember – I know first-hand!
Mopar Accessories
You can buy add-ons for your car just about anywhere, but if you own a Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, or Ram, why not buy something that was designed for your vehicle? That’s the beauty of Mopar Accessories – no dealing with one-size-fits-all items or products whose assembly makes IKEA look like a cakewalk. From the usual molded splash guards, trailer hitches, and pedal kits, you can also find high-speed Internet in your vehicle! The revamped 2011 300C has a Mopar Accessories-sanctioned Bentley-esque grill for fans of the previous 300’s. And you can bet that when the Fiat Cinquecento comes out, there will be Mopar Accessories available too.
Mopar Performance Parts
Mopar to ya, right? Well, Mopar Performance is the heart and soul of what Mopar is all about. The former Direct Connection is your place to make your vehicle perform better, whether it’s on the street, strip, trail, or just for restoring a classic. But Mopar Performance isn’t just about parts – it’s about the people who made the name Mopar synonymous with winning: Dick Landy, Tom Hoover, and Don Garlits all have put Mopar on the map. It’s with this spirit that Mopar Performance continues to make the best parts for your Mopar.
