What do you get when you give a bunch of gearheads an outlet to sit around, show off and embrace their hobby evermore? Well, if you enjoy any of the Goodguys Rod & Custom Association shows, you could have been at one of the great events such as the 20th Summer Get-Together. Held June 1st and 2nd at the Pleasanton Fairgrounds, Pleasanton, CA, this 30th Anniversary celebration was more fun than ever. Check out some of the activities show-goers got to enjoy in the video above.
Unlike the first couple days of the Goodguys national shows, the Summer Get-Together welcomes any vehicle make or model, as long as it’s made, or powered by an engine built, in the USA.
But if you think this is just another All-American Sunday, you’re dead wrong. This year, at the 20th Summer Get-Together, Goodguys offered enthusiasts a traditional show and shine, and an indoor muscle car exhibit.
The show also featured access to the Hot Rodders of Tomorrow engine building competition, a try on the AutoCross course, shopping at the Goodgals Arts & Crafts Gallery, a kids zone and even a custom bicycle exhibit and the Pinstripers Brush Bash. Needless to say, whether you are into hot rods, modern muscle, performance machines, rockabilly style or just good old-fashioned fun, the 20th Summer Get-Together had something for everyone.
There are still a lot of Goodguys shows coming up this season and we also had a blast at the Colorado Nationals, so get to your local show when the Goodguys roll into your neighborhood.
