Want your very own factory-prepped Viper GT3-R? Now’s your chance, as the SRT gang has released the race-winning technology to the public in s racecar you can purchase – if you have the $459,000 asking price.

What do you get for nearly half a mil?

A car that’s built by SRT Motorsports and Riley Technologies of North Carolina, and is eligible for competition in the FIA GT3, United SportsCar Racing GT Daytona, Pirelli World Challenge GT, NARRA, and SCCA/NASA race classes. Heck, with Riley’s resume of multiple championships and race wins, the GT3-R is virtually guaranteed to run up front – if you can do your job as a driver. The car features a 512 cubic-inch V10 engine making 680 horsepower and 640 foot-pounds of torque. An Xtrac six-speed transmission is controlled with a set of paddle shifters and receives the power transmitted through a multi-disc race clutch.

You also get a chassis that rolls over the scales at only 2,855 pounds dry, and optimal 49/51 F/R weight distribution. Independent double-wishbone front and rear suspension includes adjustable front and rear anti-roll bars to go with four-way adjustable dampers to help you tune the chassis in to each particular track’s idiosyncrasies. An FIA-spec rollcage stiffens the chassis and protects the driver at the same time. Onboard fire suppression is standard as is the built-in pneumatic jack system for quick pit stops.

The braking system is just as impressive; six-piston calipers clamp 14.96-inch diameter front rotors, while four-piston calipers actuate around 13-inch diameter rear brake rotors. The car has a set of 18-inch forged monoblock wheels and racing tires as standard equipment.

A single racing seat and six-point harness adorns the cockpit, while the body panels are constructed from carbon fiber, Kevlar, and fiberglass to help achieve that light weight. There are a multitude of race-inspired body parts that make up the aerodynamic package, including the front dive planes, front splitter, fender louvers, adjustable rear wing, flat bottom, and rear diffuser, which all add up to a win-capable package.

All of this adds up to the baddest factory-built Viper your money can buy, and it will be available for purchase in the fourth quarter of 2013. Better get in line now!
