Beginning in the end of May this year, we spent seven weeks telling you about the MSD Performance Lucky 7 SEMA Getaway contest. For seven weeks, MSD Performance offered up a special promotion, with either a free item with your purchase, an invitation to a race, or a cash rebate.
With each of those Lucky 7 offers, by filling out your rebate form you were automatically entered into a drawing for two free passes to SEMA 2013. What the invitation to SEMA included was round-trip airfare, two nights accommodation, and two passes for the trade show. Now that the Lucky 7 contest is over, MSD has announced the winner as Mark Corns.
Corns participated in the third week of the contest when he purchased a set of MSD Super Conductor Wires and was given a free set of wire separators. This shows that you didn’t have to spend the most money to get better chances, because with Corns’ purchase he was entered for a chance to win the SEMA Show tickets, and his name was drawn on September 5th.
Corns is a banker during the day, but when the whistle sounds he heads out to Bandimere Speedway in Colorado, and races his 1968 Mustang in the Run Tuff series there.
Corns said, “MSD is always my first choice for ignition system products. They haven’t let me down yet!”
Corns’ name was randomly drawn as the recipient for the grand prize, and he will be heading to Las Vegas on November 5-8 to enjoy the SEMA Show, a trade-only show that is generally closed to the public.
We noticed that Corns had a few MSD components on his Mustang already – like an MSD distributor, coil, wires and ignition box. But the Super Conductor wires he purchased during this contest were for his other car: a 1967 Fairlane with a 419 Windsor, AOD trans, and aftermarket suspension.
MSD Performance has been thanking all of their customers with promotions like the Lucky 7, or the Summer Cool Down rebate to save you money.
We’re sure there will be more, so if you want to get in on the action, you’ll have to stay tuned and check back regularly, either here or on the MSD Performance web site. Congratulations to Mark Corns, and we’ll see you at SEMA!
