Lost in a sea of clean and quiet pro touring cars comes comes this mean and loud 1966 Pro Street Corvette. This Corvette wasn’t built with corners, comfort or handling in mind. She was built to be the most aggressive car at the drag strip.

This Vette is a monster, under her hood sits a growling Gen V 454 big block engine. The 454 puts out a monstrous 500 + horsepower thanks to her Weiand 871 blower and Big Stuff 3 fuel injection. The motor is tied to a built TH400 with a 2800 stall convertor and outback is a 9 inch Ford rear with 4.10 gears with posi trac which will let her roast the tires.

Helping her launch on the strip is a custom 4 link rear suspension and helping her handle on the road is a front suspension taken from a Mustang II. The Vette stands on Weld Racing aluminum wheels that are wrapped in Mickey Thompson drag radials in the rear and skinnies up front. She has wheelie bars to prevent wheel stands on hard launches and she has a parachute to slow down her down in time.

Her interior has been fully restored with factory style door paneling, a factory dash with the original 160 MPH speedo and C4 Corvette bucket seats. The interior has a Cheetah SCS Shifter and it is fully caged for protection.

Believe it or not this Vette was originally a convertible with a 427 under her hood. As you can see from the test drive in the video she has been transformed into a well built drag car. In the video the driver never gives it full throttle during a pass. After seeing ¾ throttle can you imagine what she is capable of with the pedal mashed to the floor at a drag strip?
