In his decades as a racing stalwart, Bondurant has worked with a lot of manufacturers, but his latest partnership with Fiat-Chrysler’s SRT program is new ground for the old driver.

SRT has teamed up with the Bob Bondurant School of High Performance Driving as the official driving school of SRT products. That means going forward, all buyers of SRT vehicles, including the Dodge Viper and Challenger/Charger Hellcat, will get a one-day high-speed driving course included with the cost of their car.

bu015-262evkcpcfouql1i5ircjvsualtaetg-1SRT will also provide Bondurant with 100 new SRT vehicles, including a rare Dodge Viper ACR, the fastest street-legal production Viper ever. Buyers or lessees of an SRT vehicle will have one year from the date of delivery to go to their free driving course, where they will learn proven racing techniques that can give them the competitive advantage at track days.

“In 47 years of being the global expert on driving instruction, I’ve been waiting for the right circumstances to launch the Bondurant Racing School to honor my championship legacy. Finally, that day is here,” said Bob Bondurant – Owner, Bob Bondurant School of High Performance Driving. “The Dodge/SRT muscle cars provide me the perfect platform needed to thoroughly teach road racing.”

Bondurant’s most famous win came behind the wheel of a Shelby Cobra Daytona Coupe at the 1964 running of the 24 Hours of Le Mans. He’s also driven Corvettes, Ferraris, and off-road trucks, and he’s enjoying his golden years as the head of his own racing school. Now he gets to drive Hellcats and Vipers all day for a living. Who would trade their life for his?
