This spring, Velocity is going further, tracking down the iconic cars, people, and stories that have made car culture what it is today. Check out a preview of Velocity’s AmeriCarna TV series above, which premieres tonight at 8pm!
Hosted by three-time NASCAR winning crew chief of Jeff Gordon, Ray Evernham, AmeriCarna will guide viewers through the history of American culture through the lens of the great American automobile. From the great beach races of the early 20th Century, to 50s California surf culture, all the way through the drag racing influx of the 1970s, AmeriCarna is sure to hit every automotive enthusiast’s most passion-inflicting era.
Tonight, AmeriCarna will kick off with a look into classic California surf culture and the iconic Woody wagon, followed by a look into Moonshining and the 1940s Ford.
Guests of the show are set to include director Ron Howard, California car enthusiast and Beach Boy frontman Mike Love, country singer Brad Paisley and surf legend Laird Hamilton, who will all share their personal car culture stories with Evernham.
This unique show debuts tonight on Velocity with a double-episode premiere at 8pm and 8:30pm.
