Jet Performance Products specializes in manufacturing performance controllers for high performance enthusiasts.
Jet Performance Products has been in the tuning business for over 45-years. Longevity isn’t that thing that makes Jet Performance special however, it’s the quality control from products that are made under their own roof, right here in Southern California.
Don’t get us wrong, 45-years equals up to a lot of experience in the business, and we can appreciate that. The true value of a quality performance component comes from the company’s quality control and assurance to their customers. Jet Performance has trumped that by ensuring their controllers are manufactured under the same roof that their upper management works under.
The shop features CNC machines to make the most precise parts in their controllers and other performance accessories. To help check the smallest details, Jet Performance has several lighted magnification devices and other microscopes to check the circuit boards.
One of the most common machines in any printed circuit board shop is a pick and place machine. These machines are used to place surface-mount devices (SMDs) onto a printed circuit board (PCB). They are used for high speed, high precision placing of broad range of electronic components, like capacitors, resistors, integrated circuits onto the PCBs.

A Heller wave soldering machine is used to solder the electrical components on the circuit board precisely.
A Heller wave solder machine is used to solder electric components onto the printed circuit boards. The components are placed on the PCB and the loaded PCB is passed across a pumped wave or waterfall of solder. The solder wets the exposed metallic areas of the board (those not protected with solder mask that prevents the solder from bridging between connections), creating a reliable electrical connection. The process is much faster than manual soldering of components.
Everything is done in-house. From research and development to final testing, even the cables are manufactured at the facility.
Testing the products is done on a chassis dyno that is on-site so there is no fighting for tuning time. The testing can be repeated as often as needed to get the exact specifications the designers are looking for.
If all of this isn’t enough, the shop also is state-of-the-art for PCB cleanliness employing an aqueous cleaning system to wash and clean the printed circuit boards automatically. Nothing is left to doubt when Jet Performance is manufacturing their next performance product.
