Weld Racing Launches New Web Site, Releases Three New RT-S Wheels

IMG_0635Most people who know Weld Racing are familiar with their musclecar, circle track, and drag racing wheels. But as popular as those wheels are, Weld hasn’t rested on its laurels, because they’ve been busy adding new and exciting three-piece RT-S wheels that cater to the musclecar and Pro-Touring crowd.

Top: Weld's new S75B, S76B, and S77B, respectively, are cold forged for strength and weight reduction.

These RT-S wheels come with features not typically found in the custom wheel market, and included in those features are the pad height and the thousands of size and backspacing configurations. The pad height options are particularly important to those who have upgraded the braking system on their classic musclecar. What’s unique about the pad height is that you can clear those big and bigger calipers with a simple pad height choice without affecting the backspacing.

IMG_0256Pad height relates to the arc in the spokes themselves, designed to bring the spokes out further away from the brakes for sufficient caliper clearance, without affecting the wheel offset. Without pad height choices, the need for spacers arises, which often causes either improper wheel fitment or the need to order negative offset wheels with deeper backspacing.

The new RT-S wheels are available in 15-inch to 20-inch diameters, with widths as narrow as 4.5 inches and as wide as 18 inches for those steamrollers you want to put on the back of your car. You can be sure these wheels meet the same quality and standards as their 330 mph drag race wheels, too. Wheel configurations include 1950s through current musclecars like the Z06 Corvette, ZL1 Camaro and Mustang Cobra, to name a few.

IMG_0638Each RT-S wheel is made from high quality cold forged aluminum for lighter weight and increased strength. The machined finish on the new S75, S76, and S77 are also available with a black anodized finish to complement the looks.

There’s even a new wheel configurator so you can see what their wheels look like on several popular vehicles. More vehicles are being added regularly, so keep checking back to see if your car is included.

Be sure to also check out Weld’s newly launched web site for more information on these RT-S wheels, and their complete line of street, drag race, circle track, and truck and trailer wheels as well.

The iConfigurator allows you to see what the wheels will look like on popular cars.
