Having a good time at a Goodguys car show is practically a guaranteed experience. Getting the chance to talk with owners, meet loads of sponsors, and check out beautiful cars–it’s a car enthusiast’s paradise.
Goodguys knows how to keep things interesting at its multiple weekend events, including the ones coming up. The special parking areas are a major attraction at these events and offer owners of several kinds of show cars a place to put their pride and joy on display with similar makes, models, and styles.
Here’s the breakdown of the eleven categories of special parking areas that showgoers can apply for: Builder’s Choice, featuring the best of the best; Mighty Muscle, for those muscular machines ranging from 1955-72; and Homebuilt Heaven, with rods, customs, classics, trucks, and muscle cars built by the owner.
There’s also Young Guys, which features the cars of rodders 25 years and younger; Trick Truck Corral, for tricked-out trucks; and Ya Gotta Drive Em, applicable only to show cars that were driven 300 miles one-way or more to attend the event.
Lastly, there’s Deuce Doins, which feature ’32 Ford trucks and cars; All-American Sunday, devoted to all years of American-made/powered cars and trucks at national events; Good Wood, featuring woodies of all makes and models; Canadian Corral, for our northern neighbors who love hot rodding; and Modern Machines, perfect for showgoers who want to showcase their 1973-2014 muscle cars, trucks, SUVs, or late-model customs.
Spicing things up are all the awards people can win in select categories such as these. There’s something for everybody at a Goodguys event, from young to old. You’ll be hooked after one event and that’s all you need to find out what makes their shows such a thrill ride.
