Comp Cams is here to give us all one more reason to attend one of the awesome upcoming car shows by the NSRA. The legendary manufacturer of cams and other valvetrain components has once again teamed up with the widely popular National Street Rod Association to present car owners with the Thumpr Award.
Derived from the line of Thumpr camshafts offered by Comp, these parts are the company’s answer to the question: “How loud can I make my engine?” When you’ve got a powerful, low-slung street rod or muscle car, it helps to have a sound to match. Thumpr cams are designed to give your car that idle pitch-perfect sound, pounding out an aggressive and intimidating tone to round out the aesthetic of your ride.
The Thumpr award trophy is intended to celebrate the standout enthusiast and his vehicle at each of the eleven planned NSRA events this year. Judges will be at each of the NSRA events to gauge which cars measures up by combining the best of engineering, ingenuity, and uniqueness.
The trophies themselves look particularly fine and mark the first time an aluminum 3D cast has been used in the making of an award in NSRA’s history. Individually numbered and signed, the Thumpr awards will make for a nice addition to any car show enthusiast’s collection.
Be sure to have your car ready for judging soon, as the first NSRA event will take place on April 11-13th in Oklahoma City.
