It has been a few weeks since we updated you on Project Fastback, My Classic Garage’s project and giveaway car. If you’re unfamiliar with this car, participants actually get to vote on what parts are going on, this included choosing the car itself, a ’67 Ford Mustang. Project Fastback is shaping up to be one awesome machine, with Coyote power under the hood and a road racing inspired suspension system this car is going to be a blast to drive.
This summer voters chose to go with black paint and racing stripes, which should lend a classic but menacing look to the car’s exterior. Voters also selected the wheels. It was a close call but in the end Forgeline’s RB3C concave wheels won out.
The RB3C comes from Forgeline’s three-piece wheels, and these will be 18-inches in diameter with a staggered fitment, 10-inch wide wheels will sit out front, with massive 12-inch wide hoops in the rear. Weighing just 25.7 pounds each, the RB3C wheels will provide great looks and incredible performance. Forgeline wheels are born out of the racing industry and as such these wheels will be good to go for occasional track use or auto cross, a run down the back roads, or a night out cruising. Like all Forgeline wheels these are made in the USA from USA sourced materials, manufactured, assembled, and shipped from Forgeline’s Dayton, Ohio headquarters.
At this point it’s up to voters to decide the color for the wheels and stripes. The color of the car’s stripes will match the wheels creating a complimentary look. Voters can choose from Satin Black, Matte Bronze, or Brushed Aluminum. We’re personally partial to the Matte Bronze finish. Whichever finish is chosen Forgeline will take the wheels through their powder coating or finishing process at their Dayton, Ohio facility and ship them out to MCG for installation.
We’re looking forward to seeing the finished result of Project Fastback, keep checking back here, and make sure you head over to My Classic Garage right now to vote.
