When browsing car shows, there are many gleaming gems that have been built with hard work, blood, sweat tears, and, of course, money. Building that dream car does not come cheap. Sure, we all love a beautifully built custom-built gem, but every so often we stumble across a diamond.
This time around at the 2014 Pro Touring Street Rod Nationals Plus in Lousiville, Kentucky, the diamond was this completely custom 1957 Buick Estate Wagon. It’s a non-post car, at that, making it just that much cooler.
The video filmed by ScottieDTV starts off with a walk-around of one immaculate black Buick wagon with the perfect combination of smooth and crisp body lines. The walk-around shows off the custom leather interior in bright red, as well as the shiny glossy black body set off by shiny chrome accents. Sitting incredibly low on big chrome deep-dish wheels, the stance helps to give this classic Buick wagon one wicked appearance.
Under the hood sits a 383-cubic-inch V8 engine. After checking out On The Ground Designs, we found out that this custom Buick Riviera Estate Wagon is owned by Bryan Frank of Nebraska, but was built by E.J. Talik of Customs by Kilkeary out of Pennsylvania.
As Scottie kept exclaiming in his video, we agree that this 1957 Buick Estate Wagon is certainly “way, way cool.” Does this build make you look at wagons a little differently now?
