Just a few weeks ago Lingenfelter Performance Engineering released their 1,000-horsepower sixth-gen Camaro project for the public to see. This beast of a Camaro can be ordered through the company, but there is another option. You will be able to purchase the Eliminator Series parts straight from the Lingenfelter in the near future. While at the SEMA show we talked to Mark Rapson, COO/VP of Operations for the company, about the new Eliminator Series supercharger for the sixth-gen.
For the new 2650 supercharger, Lingenfelter partnered up with Edelbrock to bring this new design to life. According to Mark, “The base of the supercharger is actually made by Eaton which is an OEM supplier for everybody. The 2650 was originally developed for the OE level and showed up in the LT5.” Mark continued, “These rotors are the same rotors that Eaton builds for GM or anybody else.” From there Edelbrock was responsible for building the housing, and how the unit will work on the engine, itself. In the end, this combination will result in aftermarket power levels, but combined with OEM dependability.
According to Mark, “The 2650 from Lingenfelter will be available as a kit, but right now it’s so new that it’s not a do-it-yourself type install.” With that said this system is available as a package that can be installed through Lingenfelter and in the future, the supercharger will be available for purchase.
