If “Mopar, No Car” is your mantra, take a look at DiabloSport and its Predator 2 Tuner. According to DiabloSport, the Predator 2 has been designed to deliver Dodge owners more power, improved drivability, and improved efficiency. Best of all? The Predator 2 is 50-state emissions compliant.
According to DiabloSport, the company was one of the first tunning companies to develop a handheld programmer for Dodge Challengers, Chargers, and Chrysler 300’s. The original device, the Predator U7135, offered performance options for 6.1-liter and 5.7-liter Hemi.
DiabloSport says the Predator 2 picks up where the original Predator left off but offers new creature comforts like a color screen, USB updates, and allows you to adjust cooling fan on/off temps, axle ratio settings, and re-calibrate your speedometer for larger aftermarket tires.
Other highlights include high-speed OBD-II Data Logging and the ability to read / clear diagnostic codes, a USB for software updates and downloads, and it has 50 State Legal SKUs.
Additionally, the tuner comes pre-loaded with powerful tunes and also features custom tuning capability via DiabloSport’s nationwide network of CMR custom tuners.
The Predator 2 tuner supports just about every 5.7-liter Hemi from 2005-2017, such as the Chrysler 300, Charger, Challenger, Magnum, and Grand Cherokee RT. DiabloSport claims the tuner allows you to “turn off the annoying MDS system, where it runs on 4 Cylinders,” as well as remove speed limits, rev limits, and tons of other options.
DiabloSport claims the programmer adds15 to 20 more horsepower and 15-20 ft. Lbs of torque. Other highlights include the ability to turn off traction control and clear diagnostic codes.
The device also works with SRT8 vehicles produced from 2006-2017 such as the Chrysler 300, Dodge Charger, Challenger, Magnum, and Jeep Grand Cherokee.
According to DiabloSport, the tuner modifies the factory torque management for faster power delivery to give you a massive bump in low-end torque. Additionally, the device adds 10-20 hp to SRT8 vehicles and allows you the option to raise speed and rev limits, turn off traction control, and disable MDS.
It is important to note that an aftermarket PCM is required for tuning 2015 Chrysler 300’s, Dodge Chargers, Challenger, and Magnums. DiabloSport strongly advises against tunning your 2015 vehicle without a Diablo Modified PCM.
Lastly, DiabloSport stipulates that all horsepower and torque gains vary by vehicle year, make, model, and engine.
