This year has been a difficult year for everyone and all businesses worldwide. One that will go down in history for many reasons, but all of those driven by the Coronavirus pandemic. For the aftermarket automotive industry, it posed unthinkable challenges. When the SEMA tradeshow was canceled, it stunned the community and placed the Performance Racing Industry’s (PRI) annual convention in jeopardy.
The PRI tradeshow was holding out against overwhelming odds but succumbed to Federal and State regulatory agencies dictate to cancel or delay the annual function that had become the crown jewel for everyone in the racing and performance industry. With heavy hearts, the PRI management team followed regulatory mandates and canceled the show.
Because you can’t come to PRI, PRI is going to come to you. – Dr. Jamie Meyer
Not willing to throw in the towel, the crew at PRI decided to take their show on the road and visit motorsports businesses from one coast to the other. This road tour would hit some of the most notable factories and shops through mid-December, with the intent of promoting the racing community.
While there can be no replacement for the annual tradeshow, PRI’s content collected and distributed during their road tour has been a welcomed relief for the motorsports world. The PRI Road Tour can be followed on their social media pages for daily updates, and through the PRI homepage at www.performanceracing.com/roadtour.
