Jiffy-Tite has already taken the traditional fitting to the next level with their quick-disconnect features, but now, are taking it even one step further.

We stopped at their booth at this year’s PRI show to get some more information on some products. Jim Caroll gave us the details about their “pro-compact series.” The pro-compact series has all the features of an original Jiffy-Tite product including the quick-disconnect, exterior colors options, and seal options– but throws out the valves (as standard fittings are valved on both sides), resulting in less weight, less space taken, and making vehicles easier to service. Overall, just making plumbing an easier project.

“What we did with the pro-compact is get rid of the valves, and give a better package in the same amount of space as a standard AN,” explained Jim. The pro-compact fittings are available in three sizes– 2000 (1/4-inch), 3000 (3/8-inch), and 5000 (5/8-inch).

Jim also explained to us Jiffy-Tite’s simple color coded seals, “Depending on the type of fluid you are running, it is important to choose the right seal,” he explained. They offer a green fluorocarbon (FKM) seal for oil, water, fuel, transmission fluid, E85, and Diesel, a blue nitrile (NBR) seal for alcohol, and a grey ethylene (EPDM) seal for nitromethane, methanol, brake fluid, and ethanol.
