SEMA 2012: Man Up With Help From The Brake Man

When it comes to slowing down your full-tilt drag car on the top end or scrubbing speed off of your late model dirt track car, The Brake Man is certainly the man for the job. Since’93, The Brake Man’s focus has been on introducing groundbreaking and revolutionary industry firsts, like the first brake rotor to implement a convoluted design.

Since then, The Brake Man has expanded its line to include the patented Tornado calipers, Hurricane rotors, Thunderstorm calipers and their full line of street kits. This year, The Brake Man is celebrating their 20th anniversary and to kick things off right they’ve revamped their logo and even featured the new logo on some of their newest products; including the Tornado calipers.

Celebrating its 20th year, The Brake Man created a new logo, which has even been applied to the new products.

What’s more, considering the huge popularity of the pro-touring market, The Brake Man has expanded its line of brake products to include pro-touring brake kits, specifically for the Speed Tech AFX spindles.

While the street version of The Brake Man AFX Pro Touring system comes fitted with the company’s 12.90-inch Revolution convoluted brake rotors for a unique look that separates it from standard brake packages, the road racing version is fitted with larger 13-inch rotors.

The rotors are mated to forged aluminum brake hats, stronger and lighter than the industry standard extruded pieces used by others. The street variant may also be used for auto-cross events.

On the road racing package, the ProCast rotors are also mated to forged aluminum hats and will clear most racing 17-inch wheel designs. The system is capped off with the customer’s choice of The Brake Man’s proprietary brake pad compounds, brackets, hardware, and stainless steel brake lines. The systems are bolt-on and require no spindle modification.

The result provides The Brake Man technology in a package that delivers the performance, aesthetic appeal, and component quality that owners of Pro Touring cars demand.

Of course, for more on what The Brake man has in store or maybe even to follow up on the latest news, The Brake Man blog is always availble online, right here!
