The motto is “Steering you in the right direction” and with brand new steering options available for classic cars, Borgeson Universal helps bring new, modern technology to a market that was lacking a decent upgrade. Swapping to a rack and pinion is often costly, and many times will require a complete suspension/steering column upgrade. The alternative is to keep the steering box, but to replace it with a new steering box that does away with old technology.

Borgeson continues to provide their customers with the best quality – even when it means a lower price.
For classic Mopars, Borgeson didn’t rest on their laurels, and was able to find a more cost effective way to replace the outdated, heavy steering box. Sales Manager Jeff Grantmeyer said, “One of the biggest issues with the prior steering gear was the cost, so we did more research and found a cost-effective alternative that will provide the same steering feel with a lower price, and also saves a couple more pounds over the old box.”
These conversion steering gears are completely brand new, with new mounting brackets welded to the body. The pitman shaft is machined to fit either the small or large pitman arm found in Mopars, and saves roughly $120.00.
