With over 45 years under their belt, Jet Performance Products is one of the leading brands when it comes to automotive electronics and carburetors. There are actually over 30,000 different applications for Jet products from domestic and import car / truck use to Marine engines.

I was fortunate enough to speak with Jet vice president, Dan Nichols who gave me a bit more insight into the world of home-based tuning, and what they provide customers. “We have tuner kits that the customer can use to tune themselves with a software package, but that is for the guy that really knows what he is doing. The tune is customizable with a laptop or desktop computer, as well as a handheld programmer we offer to customize your tune while actually sitting in the vehicle.”

Aside from automotive electronics, Jet has had a grasp on carburetors for a long time, and offers many different varieties to suit a number of customer needs. While a new carb is often a great choice, sometimes buyers need or want to stick with the unit they have. Dan also has the ability to help these folks.

Jet also manufactures an array of throttle bodies to help get the most air into engines. While there was not one on display, Dan said, “We are working on a throttle body for the C7 Stingray, but currently have them for the C6 including the ZR1.” We are certainly looking forward to the new Stingray throttle body along with future innovations.
