One of the more popular swaps in a classic Chevrolet is the LS engine, but in many classic cars the space behind the radiator where the air inlet to the throttle body is becomes a bad location for air filters. Not only is the air directly behind the hot air coming from the radiator, but the filter doesn’t have much room.

To solve this problem on this particular build, a 1951 GMC pickup, a unique approach was taken to attach to the throttle body and bring the tube up above the engine where there is more room for it. The creative way Spectre Performance designed this system also helps to bring some cold air into the plenum and increase performance with colder air.

They have also increased their line of products to include LS products, such as water necks for the water pump. The LS swaps provide other clearance issues and the adjustable water neck allows the owner to pivot the inlet of the water neck to provide more clearance for radiator hoses.
