With so many automotive aftermarket manufacturers present at the 2015 SEMA Show in Las Vegas, Nevada, we happened to make a stop at the JET Performance Products booth. Having the opportunity to speak with JET’s Vice President Dan Nicholas, we were able to find out just what’s on the horizon for JET Performance next year.
“We released a new product catalog as well as upgraded our applications and electronics for 2016,” said Nicholas. “In terms of new products, we brought on throttle bodies for GM, Ford, and Dodge. The GM throttle bodies did well for us last year, so we decided to expand our product line and bring it to other car platforms.”
JET Performance's new Power-Flo throttle bodies were on full display at SEMA.
Specifically, the throttle bodies that were on display at the booth were the 2005 to 2012 Chrysler or Dodge V8 applications, 2003-2006 GM trucks and sport utility vehicles, and 2006-2014 GM trucks and sport utility vehicles, and lastly for 2011-2015 Ford Coyote 5.0-liter engine and F-150 applications. JET’s Powr-Flo throttle bodies are legal in all 50 states, making it a versatile piece of aftermarket product.
The throttle bodies have each been machined to allow for more airflow and also come with JET’s electronic components installed. Nicholas said their special electronic components built into the throttle bodies will help to increase throttle response, reducing the dreaded lag modern vehicles are susceptible to due to drive-by wire throttle configurations.
JET Performance also showcased other products such as carburetors, Q JET APT kits, and performance modules.
“We also upgraded our fuel division with our carburetors by introducing new fuel filters and fuel filter brackets to accompany it, both in cellulose and stainless steel finish,” said Nicholas. “We’ve also added a slew of different fittings for our carbs so if guys want to run two barrels race series without a filter, we have a workaround to do just that.”
