It’s official — the 2016 Chevrolet Camaro has arrived at U.S. dealerships, and the new lean and muscular visual appearance is just the tip of the iceberg. The new car delivers 28 percent more structural rigidity than those of previous years, and 70 percent of the car is unique to the 2016 model. If history is any indication, the new car will continue to fill the nation’s highways at a fevered pace. If that is the case, how can new Camaro owners tell their cars apart? Remember, this is a production car, so there will be quite a few on the road that look a lot alike.
That, according to Todd Christensen, marketing manager for Camaro and Corvette, is easy to overcome.
“Our Camaro customers are really excited about customization, so we’ve introduced about 50 new accessories that are designed to enhance the new Camaro,” he says.
Did you know that not only are these parts available to current Camaro owners, but new buyers can have these enhancing items added to their car before they take possession? The process is easy, just have it included in the financing. Why take a chunk of money from your pocket at one time, when you can pay for the parts over time in payments?
“You can check the appropriate box while talking to your salesperson, and get the accessories you want: 20-inch wheels, ground effects, stripe packages, and all sorts of other items can be installed,” he says.
Blacked-out Bow Tie and wheels, and smoked taillight lenses, are great look enhancers for the car.
Since Chevrolet says it is so easy to upgrade your Camaro even before you leave the dealership, what parts are actually available? We found things like floor mats, badged interior pieces, color-coordinated trim pieces, and what Chevrolet is calling “alternate-finish versions of existing features,” such as smoked taillamp lenses and blacked-out or LED-illuminated Bow Tie emblems.
“These accessories and parts were designed, engineered, and tested by our Camaro team to ensure proper fit and integration,” said Jim Campbell, General Motors U.S. vice president of Performance Vehicles and Motorsports.
Now that you know how easy it is to get your look-enhancing parts, what are you waiting for? Order yours now!
