Veethree Instruments has been manufacturing gauges for the marine and industrial markets since 1976. In 2010, having already established a global reach in those two industries, the company purchased Cyberdyne Gauges and began implementing its expertise in the automotive industry as well. Nowadays, the majority of their products can be found through Summit Racing, Jegs, and similar retailers.
For this year’s SEMA Show, Veethree’s Cannon Mascarenhas highlighted its new 3 1/2-inch display screen. The display eliminates the need to fabricate a custom dash or cut holes in the factory dash to accommodate all your gauges. The goal was to enhance aesthetics while providing a concise, functional way to manage engine readouts.
Cannon told us that the display can show all necessary engine information on the single screen — including speed, RPM, water temperature, oil pressure, and voltage. He said it’s completely customizable, with the ability to choose between analog and digital gauge readings. Cannon also stated that Veethree will be offering a program allowing the owner to write their own software and further customize the display to their own personal applications.
He also highlighted their GPS speedometer, which comes as a part of a six-gauge kit including a tachometer, water temperature gauge, fuel gauge, oil pressure gauge, and voltmeter. Veethree also sells gauges individually, ranging from air-fuel ratio gauges to transmission temperature gauges.
As for the future, Cannon said Veethree is currently developing a seven-inch touchscreen version of the current 3 1/2-inch display. This display will have more input and output options available, and allow the customer to further customize their display.
