For owners of EcoBoost-powered Fords, there’s good news on the horizon. For those who want a simple, affordable way to take advantage of the tuning capabilities of the EcoBoost computer, Flowmaster has taken a short step away from the exhaust market to bring you the new Delta Boost Module for EcoBoost engines.
While this is not an exhaust component, it does plug directly into the turbo boost sensor, and installs quickly with plug-and-play ease. This is a simple device that, when removed, leaves no trace of its existence when it comes time to get inspected, however, CARB certification is pending.
There are four settings that you can adjust with your IOS or Android using a downloadable app, to increase boost up to four psi. That means up to a 30 horsepower increase, and up to 50 lb-ft of torque, and includes a one-year warranty.
If you’ve already done some upgrades, the Delta Boost Module is compatible. The four settings include: Valet, Standard, Sport, and Max, and are simply set up using the app on your smartphone. The pending CARB E.O. number would make the Delta Boost module 50-state legal, and is available for all EcoBoost applications, with some GM applications planned for the future.
To add a little more oomph to your modern vehicle, Flowmaster’s line of EPA and CARB certified direct fit catalytic converters is expanded to cover more vehicles. These cats will meet all requirements to pass emissions (50-state CARB certification or 49-state EPA certified).
There are two grades available: the Elite grade utilizes stainless steel components with mandrel bent tubing and higher quality flanges, or for the budget conscious looking for an affordable replacement, the Standard grade has compression bends and standard materials. They all carry a five year/50,000 mile warranty on the exterior and casing.
