Fidanza is a well established name in the world of performance parts, specializing in light flywheels for a wide variety of vehicles. As a company, they aim to achieve a balance of form, function, and capability with each and every one of their products. Recently, they released new “qwik-rev” combo kits for a variety of new platforms.
“Our qwik-rev kits for the LS include our aluminum lightweight flywheel, pressure plate, and your choice of either one of the two disc setups,”said Dan Jenkins of Fidanza. “They all come pre-balanced, so the are basically full assemblies that we balance and assemble in-house– so that when the customer receives it, they are literally bolt-and-go, and there’s no further work that’s needed.”
These combination kits are perfect for performance oriented LS powered vehicles and include the pressure plate hardware and, for those who need it, crank hardware as well – otherwise, all stock hardware is utilized during installation. The aluminum anodized pressure plate and aluminum flywheel make for around a 50 percent weight savings when compared to stock. They are available in two performance levels; the VT1 and VT2. The VT1 version is a sprung hub, solid organic disc design for use up to 800 lb-ft of torque. The VT2 is capable of withstanding 1,000 lb-ft of torque and features a sprung hub using a 6 puck Cerametallic design.
This exact setup is also launching for many Nissan and Acura applications. Qwik-rev kits, in single and twin-disc versions, for the LS7 and LS9 are currently in development.
