Performing an EFI conversion on a muscle car, street rod, or anything else on four wheels with a carburetor, is nothing new. But, when we stopped by the Edelbrock booth at this year’s SEMA show, we were pleasantly surprised to find out that some of the original pioneers of EFI conversions were back at it with their newest version.

That’s right, Edelbrock, has come out with their new Pro Flo 4 EFI conversion for a whole slew of applications, including the SBC, BBC, LS, Chrysler, Ford, Pontiac, and soon to be AMC, and Oldsmobile power plants.

We spoke with Sinbad Storjohann, and he had this to say about the system, “It’s a self-learning system – our system comes with a fully assembled manifold, fuel-rails, injectors, all the sensors you need – it does come a distributor as well, and we use that signal reference to fire the sequential injectors. When that intake valve opens, that injector fires, and the fuel doesn’t have a chance to sit around and puddle. That makes a helluva difference in throttle response and drivability.”

At an incredible price-point of $1795.00 for the SBC and many other popular options, it is a great value. Consider the fact that it comes with the manifold, fuel-rails, injectors, distributor, gaskets, hardware, oxygen sensors, and engine control unit. It even comes with an E-tuner – a tablet style tuner that allows you to go into the settings and play with the air-fuel ration, among other things, if you so choose. But, bear in mind, when converting to EFI, you’re going to need a high-pressure fuel supply, and Edelbrock offers a few different options for that as well.
