HARROP Engineering, an Australian company with 60 years of design and manufacturing experience, continues to contribute innovative products to the automotive industry. The company showcased its new big-block Chevy supercharger during the SEMA 2024 event.
One of the company’s latest supercharger innovations, the TVS2650, custom-made specifically for big-block Chevy engines, was shown to the public during SEMA. The latest supercharger is bound to give street performance and drag racers huge power gains. It is designed to adapt to many big-block Chevy cylinder heads, including both GM’s rectangle and oval port variants.
As confirmed by HARROP, the TVS2650 supercharger can support well over 1,200 horsepower, making it an excellent choice for high-performance car builds. It features a front-drive and a front intake design that maximizes boost response for rapid acceleration. There’s an integral, high-efficiency, dual-pass water-to-air intercooler within the manifold, so the air intake temperature is always optimized, and performance is consistent. The drive system is a HARROP 10PK unit with a heavy-duty, billet tensioner for maximum reliability.
HARROP recognizes that an engine builder’s needs can be diverse and offers a choice of several options to incorporate into its new supercharger offering. The standard kit comes with an LS-style, 110mm throttle body, but you can also choose either the cable or electronic drive-by-wire variations. The supercharger also accommodates different rib setups to match other accessory drive systems.
This product can also be offered along with a CVF drive that also supports power steering and air conditioning using an eight-rib setup. A 10-rib setup is offered for those primarily interested in racing applications. In a combination of power, efficiency, and adaptability, the HARROP TVS2650 supercharger represents an exciting possibility for anyone looking to have maximum performance out of their big-block Chevy engine.
