If you’re in the Midwest and own a car that is eight seconds or faster in the quarter, then legendary Gus’s Drive-In in East Troy, Wisconsin and the equally legendary Great Lakes Dragaway in Union Grove, Wisconsin will be the prime places to be from July 20-21. That’s because 10″ Wide Racing will be hosting this year’s “Extreme Street Machine Shootout.”

An event that promises a Friday night of food and fun and a Saturday filled with “best two-out-of-three” drag racing action, this year’s festivities will be sponsored by Lucas Oil, Mickey Thompson and RPM Magazine, and will feature more than 50 of the Midwest’s fastest street and strip machines.

Unfortunately space is limited at Gus’s, so only 60 of the best horsepower-laden monsters will be selected for this year’s event. It’s an event that you definitely don’t want to miss
