As one of the most hotly-anticipated cars of 2012, the 2013 SRT Viper has been subject to relentless speculation and rampant rumor-mongering. Chrysler has fanned the flames by revealing two teaser shots, one an outline of the front end, the other a close-up of the carbon fiber hood scoop.
Unfortunately for Chrysler, bits and pieces of the 2013 SRT Viper have been leaking out via the Internet. Hot on the heels of a supposed Hot Wheels Viper rendering and cellphone pictures of what probably is the next Viper’s grille and hood comes this latest leak; the actual Hot Wheels model.
We now have picture proof of the 2013 SRT Viper diecast model in 1:64th scale form thanks to the Viper Club forums. Could it be? Is this really it then, the 2013 SRT Viper?
It looks a lot like the renderings, teasers, and spy shots that are all over the Internet. It also looks a lot like the old, out-going Viper, though we imagine the full-size production model will be all-new underneath. No doubt when it is enlarged a lot more subtle details will jump out, but it is rather difficult to discern the details on such a small scale. But still, this gives us a pretty good idea of what to expect when the 2013 SRT Viper is revealed at next month’s New York Auto Show.
