Expect to see more orange than usual tomorrow as Mopar lovers celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Hemi engine.

April 26, or 4/26, is the traditional Hemi Day, and it should be livelier than ever as those worshipers of the elephant motor observe the birth year of their beloved hemispherical-headed beast. It was February 1964 when Richard Petty led a 1-2-3 finish for Plymouth in the Daytona 500 and introduced the world to the Hemi engine.
