AIRAID Teams With Parnelli Jones To Add More HP For BOSS 302s

The already powerful 2012 Mustang BOSS 302 is a very capable car even right after driving it off the factory lot. That didn’t stop AIRIAD from developing a real carbon fiber intake system for the new Stang that increases both overall horsepower and torque while delivering more useable power throughout the power-band. That’s right, no fake stickers on this part.

Official Release:

The MUSCLE CAR WARS are back in full swing, and Ford has thrown down the gauntlet with the new 2012 Mustang BOSS 302. Optimized for performance and tuned for the track, the Boss is a high performance machine built for hardcore enthusiasts. Now AIRAID has teamed up with legendary BOSS racing champion Parnelli Jones to release a special edition MXP-Series Carbon Fiber Intake System for the 2012 Mustang Boss.

Parnelli Jones raced the original Mustang Boss to a Trans Am Championship in 1970, so he knows a thing or two about Mustangs and how to make power. AIRAID’s newest MXP Series Intake System is a tribute to Parnelli’s devotion to power and performance by providing up to 19 additional horsepower. Like all of AIRAID’s MXP-Series Intake Kits, no special tuning is required and the installation is a simple bolt-on procedure.

The AIRAID system starts with a real carbon fiber 4.25″ diameter intake tube. This is not some cheap imitation piece; it is real carbon fiber that adds a show-quality look to the engine compartment. It allows for unrestricted airflow and incorporates a special billet plate that accepts the factory MAF sensor. The Intake Tube connects to AIRAID’s new one-piece roto-molded Cold Air Box via a urethane “hump hose” and stainless steel clamps. The box is designed to keep hot engine compartment air away from the filter while increasing the amount of cold air available and even utilizes the factory cold air scoop.

The heart of AIRAID’s MXP Intake System for the Mustang Boss is the massive 1300-cfm air filter, which provides the engine with a steady supply of clean, cold air. The filter is available in either the company’s SynthaFlow composite material or SynthaMax non-oiled filtration technology. Each filter is constructed with a special blend of urethane that will not crack or warp, and are washable and reusable.

This system includes all of the necessary hardware and uses factory mounting points for an easy installation. Like the rest of AIRAID’s extensive product line, this new MXP-Series Carbon Fiber Intake System is made in the USA and backed by the company’s “No Hassle” warranty.
