The incredible 1959 FC Holden sedan that you see here was displayed in January in Victoria Hot Rod Show in Melbourne, Australia. It’s called “Trilogy” because it’s on it’s third reincarnation, and like a lot of project cars it’s never been quite “done.” This build took three and a half years to complete and is powered by a 1000 horsepower twin turbo charged 440c.i. small block Chevy (so to all of you that think real power can only be made with an LS motor, take note)!
The transmission is a tried and true 2-speed Powerglide backed up be a Ford 9 inch rear end. On the suspension front, all four corners of the car wear coil overs, and the massive brakes are Alcon units. The exhaust is completely handmade with 3-inch tubing, and the front 18×7 and rear 20×12 wheels complete the product nicely.
Perhaps the most impressive part of the car though is the paint! It covered in a mirror like finish of a House of Kolor “Kandy” custom mix on the outside, the inside, and the underside. The hand made seats are covered in beautiful leather, the carpet is German, and the dash full of electronic wizardry from Dakota Digital.
Believe it or not, the owner built the car to drive, but only after he shows it a few more times. We can’t blame him, but we’ll bet this won’t be the last incarnation of this Holden!
