The 50th Anniversary season of Carlisle Events was a year-long celebration that culminated in a thrilling finale with Fall Carlisle, driven by Hemmings. This flagship event, held October 2-6, 2024 at the Carlisle PA Fairgrounds, was a must-attend for car enthusiasts of all ages. With its vast car corral, sprawling automotive flea market, and exciting collector car auction, Fall Carlisle had something for everyone.
As the gates opened at 7 AM on Wednesday, a sea of vendors and attendees flooded the grounds, eager to start their four-day hunt for the perfect find. The fairgrounds were transformed into a treasure trove of car parts, collectibles, toys, signage, memorabilia, and more. The car corral was a highlight, showcasing over 600 classics, all for sale by their owners. From gleaming roadsters to vintage trucks, the corral offered a stunning display of automotive history.
A special feature of Fall Carlisle was the Carlisle Corner in Building T. This area, staffed by the Carlisle Events team, took attendees on a journey through the company’s history with memorabilia, show cars owned by Bill Miller and Lance Miller, and overstock merchandise for sale. It was a must-visit for anyone wanting to deepen their understanding of Carlisle’s rich heritage.
Despite some voids on the grounds due to Hurricane Helene, the Carlisle community came together in a big way. The local Lions Club raised over $6,300 for disaster relief, a testament to the event’s spirit of camaraderie and giving back. It was a heartwarming display of the automotive community’s generosity and compassion.
The Carlisle Auctions-powered auction was a major draw, with over 400 consignments spanning from the late 1920s to 2018 crossing the block. The auction saw a 50% sell-through rate, totaling an impressive $3.3 million in sales. Top sellers included a 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air, a 1968 Corvette, a 1965 Pontiac GTO, and a 1967 Chevelle. The auction was a thrilling spectacle, with bidders competing for their dream rides.
