During our daily coverage of this year’s SEMA Show in Las Vegas back in early November, we wrote up an in-depth feature on the custom 2011 Mustang GT produced by the fine folks at Centerforce Clutches – nicknamed “Izabelle” – for display at the show. The car would then head to the famed Barrett-Jackson Auction in Scottsdale, Arizona, where it would be auctioned and the proceeds donated to the Bennett Foundation, which offers assistance to families with premature or ailing newborn children.
In just three months time, Centerforce transformed the stock GT into this customized ride that sports a Kenne Belle supercharger under the hood, with direct port nitrous feeding into the 5.0L powerplant that’s backed by one of Centerforce’s new DYAD Twin-Disc clutches. Izabelle also features Eibach springs on all four corners, with custom, brushed-face Budnik wheels, measuring 20-inches in the front and 22-inch in the rear, with aluminum Baer brakes giving it superior stopping power. Also, the rear end has been narrowed by 3-inches to allow for a larger, wider set of rear wheels and tires.
The exterior was painted with a brushed aluminum-appearing set of racing stripes, with a subtle, multicolor sceme adorning the hood that changes colors depending on how you view it. A full Cervini body kit wraps all the way around the car, with the rear section molded into the rocker panel to give it a sleek look. Cervini’s side-exit exhaust also adds a great element to the look and stance.
With both SEMA and the new year having come and gone, the car collector oasis in the desert is now upon us, and on Wednesday evening, Izabelle rolled across the auction block on the SPEED Channel for her turn before the bidders. When all was said and done, the car fetched an incredible $91,000 for charity, and one lucky bidder took home a pretty sweet new ride.
