As you’ve seen from our coverage of the SEMA Show, the 2011 Mustang was a hot commodity all across the Las Vegas Convention Center, with multitudes of GT’s on display and new products encompassing nearly every inch of the popular new 5.0L at every turn. Amongst those was Corsa Performance Exhausts, which unveiled it’s new exhaust systems for the 2011 GT and GT500 Mustangs, as well as the 3.7L V6.
These new kits are designed to deliver two different and distinct tones depending on ones taste, with the Sport Edition (for the GT) producing a robust and bold tone under throttle, while the Xtreme model has a more race-inspired, deep and muscular note that is both bolder and louder than the Sport model. These come as dual rear exit, axle-back systems with 4.0″ Pro-Series tips, and an optional XO-Pipe will further increase the performance of both.
Sport models for both the V6 and the GT500 are available, as well: the V6 sporting 3.5″ tips and the GT500 with 4.0″. These new exhaust systems from Corsa deliver 153% better flow and weight 18-pounds lighter than the stock exhaust system, and gains of over 7 horsepower and 4 ft-lbs of torque have been achieved with the 5.0L GT. To that end, the XO-Pipe will add an additional 3 horsepower.
