We were just talking about Fox Mustang prices last week, weren’t we? Well, today we decided to check out Craigslist to see what’s out there, and we found this Fox Mustang that perfectly illustrates where prices are these days. This car also foreshadows the increase in price for Fox Mustang for years to come. Just like what we said previously, Fox Mustangs are either $2,500-$3,000 buckets, or they’re cars like this one.

It’s not all that common to find a Fox Mustang with a leather interior. Most of them were reserved for ’93 Cobras, but many GTs were so-equipped, as well.

This car, a 1993 Mustang GT is a low-mile car so automatically it’s going to have a higher asking price than one with higher miles. Specifically, the car has just 56,000 miles on it. If you know Fox Mustangs, you know it’s just getting broke-in at that mileage. The interior appears to be in impeccable condition for the car’s age, and it’s the optional leather upholstery seats, not cloth.

This GT has all the period-correct modifications like welded-in subframe connectors, Flowmaster exhaust, a BBK Performance cold air intake, and a new 3.73 gear set. The biggest downer on the car for us is that it has an AOD transmission, but it does have a clean Carfax, according to the ad, so there’s that.

The factory cargo net is still in the car. How many people tossed that in the trash the first day home with their Fox Mustang?!

Sure, you could do a T5 swap, add 5-lug wheels (In chrome, of course), some springs to drop it down, tint the windows, a H/C/I swap, and a blower. Then it would be perfect.

So, what are you thoughts? Is a low-mileage Fox GT worth $8,500? The car is obviously nice, and appears to be well cared for, but at the end of the day, it’s a stock Fox GT. If you bought this car, what would you do to it? Would you leave it as-is and hold on to it, hoping it goes up in value, or would you modify it like we would?

Possibly one of the most-durable engines ever produced, the pushrod 5.0-liter, will run forever if cared for properly. This one is stock, and ready to rock.
