Dodge has launched its new ‘House of Power’ video across social media channels. It features the Challenger and Charger SRT Hellcat Widebody models, the Dodge Durango SRT, and an exclusive look at footage from the latest installment of the Fast and Furious franchise: F9.
“‘House of Power’ is the next chapter in the brand’s long-standing partnership with Vin Diesel and the iconic ‘Fast’ franchise,” said Tim Kuniskis, Global Head of Alfa Romeo and Head of Passenger Cars – Dodge, SRT, Chrysler and FIAT, FCA – North America.
Dodge Vehicles have been shown in the Fast saga since the original film, The Fast and the Furious, in 2001. That said, the partnership didn’t get real heavy until the seventh film in 2015 and has continued through F9, in theaters May 22.
The video showcases the Dodge vehicles as mentioned above, ripping around the streets of Los Angles, spliced with scenes from the movie as Vin Diesel tells the viewer about a house built on a foundation of fury, grit, and muscle. AC/DC’s pulse-pounding track “Hell’s Bells” is heard in the background.
“’House of Power’ isn’t a place, it’s a state of mind that Dodge enthusiasts have always shared. It’s for those who don’t fit the mold, but break it… this state of mind is a brotherhood. A Brotherhood of Muscle,” Kuniskis said.
As the name states, F9 is the ninth chapter in Universal Pictures’ blockbuster Fast saga. Over time, the series has earned more than $5 billion worldwide. The Fast saga has been going on for nearly two decades. Will it finally come to a close? Who knows.
The tagline is, “No matter how fast you are, no one outruns their past.” F9 is essentially a clone of F8 where Vin Diesel’s Dom Toretto has a reunion with someone from his past that wants to ruin his life, kill him, or kill someone close to him. Is there an echo in here?
The film opens with Toretto leading a quiet life off the grid with Letty and his son when the time comes for Dom to confront his demons. Namely, the “villain” of this film is Dom’s forsaken brother, Jakob, (played by John Cena), reportedly the most skilled assassin and high-performance driver Dom’s crew has ever encountered.
From London to Tokyo, Central America to Edinburgh, and even a secret bunker in Azerbaijan to the streets of Tbilisi, the film goes across the globe with returning cast members Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, Jordana Brewster, Nathalie Emmanuel, Sung Kang, and Oscar-winners Helen Mirren and Charlize Theron.
F9 is produced by Neal H. Moritz, Vin Diesel, Jeff Kirschenbaum, Joe Roth, Justin Lin, Clayton Townsend, and Samantha Vincent.
Be on the lookout for more Dodge action when F9 hits theatres on May 22, 2020.
