Mechanix Wear showed their new 2011 line of updated gloves at the 2010 SEMA Show. Â This line of hand protection won’t be available till April of 2011, but we got a sneak peak of the new designs, new materials and new fashion from Mechanix Wear’s Barry Waalk.
From the glove that started it all, “The Original” to the toughest glove on the block, the M-Pact line of hand protection, Mechanix Wear has gotten a new look.” said Waalk.
Waalk highlighted the “Original 4X” glove as the hand protection with the most interest at the show. Â The 4X indicates the material used in the glove’s construction; Material 4X. Â The extreme durability of the material is said to last “up to four times longer” by Waalk. Â Features of the “Original 4X design for 2011:
- New Material 4X single layer palm for up to four times longer wear.
- Increased Material 4X index finger protection with an improved wrap around design.
- New TPR closure design for improved flexibility and protection.
- New I.D. Panel molded to bottom of closure.
Other gloves in the new line feature elements like modified cuff designs for fast fit, extended cuffs for wrist protection, finger and knuckle protection in the M-Pact line with improved ergonomic padded palm design for protection and comfort.
The new line of gloves is more than just designed for looks, they feature ergonomic designs for comfort, protection and durability features that make them wear longer and better than previous models.
