The owner of this Super Snake we found on eBay bought this Shelby GT500 in 2007. He then signed up to have the post-title conversion done at Tasca Ford because of the performance history and connection between Carroll Shelby and Bob Tasca. This car is number #307.
After the Super Snake conversion, the owner inquired about the Pace Car Program offered by Shelby when the company sponsored the 2009 Shelby 427 NASCAR race at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. The owner of this particular Super Snake Pace Car tells of hanging with Carroll Shelby in his suite during the race, along with Don “The Snake” Prudhomme, and other racers.
The Super Snake’s owner has a long list of signatures by Ford dignitaries including Carroll Shelby, of course, Bob Tasca, John Force, Jack Roush, Ashley Force, Steve Saleen, among many more. The owner believes the car is destined to become a museum piece, “with its history, and all the paperwork that goes with it.” There are pictures of Carroll Shelby sitting in the car while he signed the dash.
If you step up to buy the Super Snake Pace Car, it will come with the original Certificate of Origin from Ford, and every piece of paper related to the car, Super Snake and Pace Car builds. The car has lived a pampered life within a climate-controlled garage.
The ad even says the car has never been washed with water, and it’s as new underneath as it is on the outside. The car has just 600 miles on it, and for the Buy-it-now price of $150,000, you also get an enclosed trailer in the deal.
Bidding on the Shelby Super Snake Pace Car ends Friday…get it while it’s hot.
