One big advantage to living in a region of the United States that really only experiences 2 of the 4 seasons is that we get car shows year round. The Temecula Rod Run on March 6-7, 2015 is just another one of those perks of living in southern California. The city of Temecula, located east of Orange County and north of San Diego, shuts down “Old Town Front Street”. The main drag in the city is the center focal point of the Friday Night Cruise and for hundreds of pre-1975 cars and trucks to line up on Saturday.
50 thousand plus spectators come from miles around for the free to see show. More than 700 cars, trucks, hot rods, street rods, imports, race cars and anything else on four wheels will be cruisin’ and then displayed at the Show N’ Shine. Music and entertainment is highly regarded. Vehicle owners will cruise their hot rods up and down the street, honking horns, revving engines and just generally showing off their cars in safe ways.
Tons of vendors and sponsors will be lined up to show off what they do. Companies from all over the community come out in support of the event with products to sell and showcase. Hosted by the City of Temecula, the Temecula Rod Run has been an annual event for a long time. Set up as a Rain or Shine event, be sure to check it out for yourself.
