Even though Summer is coming to an end that’s no reason to assume that all the cars will be tarp’d and tucked away until next season. With the rise of autumn and the turning of the leaves you can expect Rod Authority to be working just as hard bringing you show previews, event coverage and features on some of the most wicked one-of-a-kind rides across the board. We believe in rain or shine here at Rod Authority and a grouping of grey clouds in the midst will indeed make for a nice change in backdrop during the coming months.

To provide you some proof of impressive events that occur outside the scope of summer get ready for Pomona Swap Meet & Classic Car Show – the West Coast’s largest swap meet and classic car show. On October 20th, the Pomona Fairplex will host over 15 miles of cars and parts, over 30,000 people, 2,700 vendor spaces, and 2,500 vintage rides.

George Cross & Sons, Inc. is responsible for putting on the event. The folks over at George Cross & Sons throw several swaps and shows at the Fairplex throughout the year but this is the biggest one dedicated to the classic car enthusiast. On top of that, the October event garners a lot of attention because it is the last of seven classic show and swaps throughout the year.

The Pomona Swap Meet and Classic Car Show is like an ancient bazaar of all things auto. Thousands of cars come out, some for sale, trade, and/or simply show. From 5:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. Car enthusiasts, pickers, and barterers from all over the country come, rain or shine. There will be six distinct areas making it easy for guests to navigate based on their interests: Pre ’85 Classics, any year Corvettes, any year Porsches, Pre ’59 Street Rods, Pre ’85 Imports, and Pre ’85 Volkswagens.
