Find Your Injector With Fuel Injector Clinic’s New Calculator

Are you stumped on which injector you need for your next project or power upgrade? One of the more common questions Fuel Injector Clinic receives is, “What size injectors should I buy?” said Director of Sales and Marketing Randy Earle. Although the company previously had some horsepower calculators, it has introduced a new easy-to-use calculator to help take out the guesswork.

As an example, we selected a late-model 6.2-liter LS/Vortec truck engine running a turbocharger and E85.

We input an estimate of 676 horsepower at the crank for our 6.2-liter LS/Vortec truck engine example. The Fuel Injector Clinic calculator suggested three injector sizes at the OE fuel pressure that will flow enough fuel. If that horsepower estimate is accurate, the engine would be “happy” with any of the three injector sizes. But the 850cc injector in the middle will have the most room for selection error of flowing not enough or too much fuel for the predicted engine output.

Fuel Injector Clinic precision flow-matches each injector using Fuel Injector Clinic’s proprietary Data Match Technology. Each injector is individually serial numbered. The results are provided on the Data Match Sheet with what the company says provides the most complete information available in the industry today for flow-matching and latency values.

According to Fuel Injector Clinic, the injectors’ superior short pulse-width control and state-of-the-art matching make them easy to tune and provide great drivability.

Fuel Injector Clinic injectors are set up for the factory application and include all o-rings needed. But if you’re running an aftermarket or custom setup, get in touch with Fuel Injector Clinic prior to placing your order to make sure you receive injectors that fit properly. Every injector is covered against failure caused by defects in original manufacture by the company’s lifetime warranty.
