We have – and it’s great stuff! Hose Candy‘s hose dress-up products are so much more than that – they are a sweet way to clean up your engine bay while minimizing the chance of a leak in your cooling or vacuum systems.
Last week we detailed a few of their products for you, and this week we’re back with some great photos of the stuff in action. Mike’s Service Center in Philadelphia, PA, upgraded this owner’s ’55 Bel Air with one of Hose Candy’s Hotrod Kits including orange Carbon-Fiber/Kevlar Hose Skins and black Super Shrink.
The owner originally planned on just upgrading the radiator hoses, but after seeing just how good the radiator hoses looked with the Hose Candy products, the decision was made to add on the heater and A/C Hose Candy products. A couple of Hose Candy install hints are provided at the bottom of the page, most notably to work the Hose Skins from the center out, ensuring that any bends toward the end of the hose runs remain “clean”.
In addition, the company recommends using their Liquid Clamp product to keep the Hose Skins from bunching up in the curves, ensuring that clean look you’re after. Mike’s did a great job with this customer’s car.

Check out the instructional video below – Hose Candy CEO Jon Petty runs through all of the steps you’ll need to take in order to clean up your ride’s engine bay using a ’69 Ford Fairlane as a donor.
Petty begins by going through a typical upper radiator hose fitment, explaining each of the steps along the way, including tips to help ensure that sweet installation you’re after. He also talks about the company’s Sidewinder vacuum-hose quick-release kit, which we see to be another useful innovation, especially on cars that get worked on often.
