The Southern California Gathering of Goats and Jim Wangers, the reputed Godfather of the GTO, invite you to the Wangers’ Collection in Oceanside, CA for a muscle car celebration — the 2010 Tour de Wangers Show ‘n Shine on November 14.

As the “ad man” for Pontiac during its glory days, Wangers was notorious for his outlandish GTO promotions, as well as his outings on Detroit’s Woodward Avenue where time and time again, the well-prepped Pontiacs demonstrated their prowess in the late night muscle car wars.

Thanks to thousands of automotive enthusiasts, the American muscle car lives on and that’s what Tour de Wangers is all about, remembering, celebrating and demonstrating the performance heritage of Detroit.

Join like-minded enthusiasts in Oceanside, who love the American musclecar, for a wonderful Show ‘n Shine event. The Wangers Collection will be on display, along with several notable Pontiacs, including Jim’s first GTO and the Car and Driver magazine ’64 GTO test car.

You’ll also be rubbing elbows with automotive authors, photographers, artists and industry leading vendors. Your $25 Show ‘n Shine registration includes preferred on-site parking and lunch for two. Each entrant will be asked to select his/her favorite ten cars as part of the People’s Choice Awards and Best of Show winner.
